  1. This recipe isn’t realistic, these ingredients in a crockpot for 6-8 hours looks like watery soup, not glazed chicken...

    1. I completely agree. I made a very similar recipe last year with chicken wings and got the same response as the person who commented below. Don't false advertise with a picture of chicken that looks like it came out of an American Chinese food restaurant, right? If to achieve that taste, texture and appearance you need to add nearly a cup of corn starch like I had to, then it is a poorly written recipe. I totally agree. Plus, with that much thickening agent it affects the flavor and texture in a bad way in my experience.

  2. So remove your chicken and thicken the sauce with cornflower or remove the sauce in to a saucepan and thicken it there

  3. I have made this recipe with turkey tenderloins several times. I did add pineapple chunks toward the end of cooking, then the next time added maraschino cherries as well.
We really liked the recipe. It didn’t looked glazed but it was very good. Served it with rice. Thanks for the recipe

  4. I would sear the chicken first and make the sauce separate and reduce it to a glace, then combine the two to finish of by cooking it for about five more minutes. No need for slow cooking!!

    1. Please elaborate!! Do you dredge the chicken and then fry it in a pan and then put it in the crockpot? If so, how long do you fry it and how long in crock pot? Many thanks!!
